Metal Containers and Packaging Company, ENVAMETAL

The ENVAMETAL Company, made up of four Basic Business Units (UEB), produces and markets containers and lids, among other consumer goods with their components and accessories, leading the universe of containers and packaging in the domestic market, with the products present in the Latin American and Caribbean region. The Control-Xi team has provided solutions to this company in all its UEBs, with the most significant work done at: the Lithography unit, the Press, and general repairs including modernization work at the Enameling unit, on the rigid tube line for export tobacco; in addition, the recovery and modernization of a metal container line for paint gallons that had been out of service for more than a decade.

Engineering Services Company UEB Las Tunas

The alliance between the Hydraulic Engineering Services Company UEB Las Tunas and the Control-Xi team has been a successful experience of productive chaining from the very beginning, enabling solutions for important reservoir gate spillways in provinces such as Villa Clara, Sancti Spíritus, Camagüey, Las Tunas and Granma, with the Palmarito reservoir and the new automated system designed and installed at the Agabama reservoir in Villa Clara province standing out. The diagnostic, maintenance, repair, installation and start-up actions on water pumping stations that have been carried out in Camagüey and Las Tunas have also been of great socio-economic impact, with the assembly, installation, technical solutions and start-up of the pumping stations at the dam and water treatment plant of the Rincón System, Las Tunas province, being particularly notable.

HDPE pipe manufacturing companies (Hidroplast, Ciegoplast and Holplast factories)

Based on the highly complex work performed to achieve the successful restoration of the corrugated pipe line at the Hidroplast Company in Havana, bringing convertible currency savings and reducing dependence on foreign technical assistance, it became progressively possible to provide services to the country's main HDPE pipe factories. Among the results with the greatest impact and significant savings are: The development of in-house control software, maintenance, repair and recovery of the planetary disc saw for cutting pipes up to 1200 millimeters at CIEGOPLAST; the recovery of high-power drives and motors and the solutions to several breakdowns on the pipe lines, including the work that allowed Hidroplast to restore production of pipes from 400 to 1000 millimeters for ENERGAS investments aimed at supporting national electricity generation.
